Effect of the macrophage inhibitor GdCl₃ and allopurinol on acetaminophen (AAP)-induced liver injury (plasma ALT activities). Animals were treated with 300 mg/kg acetaminophen and killed after 6 h. Groups of animals were pretreated with 10 mg/kg GdCl₃ for 24 h or 2 doses of 100 mg/kg allopurinol (ALL) at 18 h and 1 h before AAP administration.
