Bilirubin and ASAT (n = 9) and liver/spleen-weights (n = 10) in sham-operated, in sham-operated injected with LPS (bilirubin and ASAT: n = 10, liver/spleen-weights: n = 12), in cirrhotic (bilirubin and ASAT: n = 11, liver/spleen-weights: n = 12) and in cirrhotic animals injected with LPS (n = 9). **Significantly increased (2-way ANOVA, P < 0.001) by both factors i.e. LPS and cirrhosis. *Significantly increased only by cirrhosis (2-way ANOVA, P < 0.001).
