  1. Prior to isolation of cells, pigs received FITC-labeled formaldehyde-treated serum albumin (FSA) intravenously. Stellate cells stained with monoclonal mouse anti-human desmin antibody and Kupffer cells (KC) stained with anti-pig macrophage antibodies. Hepatocytes were identified by simple morphology. Values are percent of total number of cells per culture (n = 3). The values are expressed as: mean (standard deviation).
